Detail Description of Services:
In order to upgrad the airport to international standards, AAROTEC prepared preliminary design and bidding documents for the following: expansion of the passenger terminal building, runway rehabilitation and extension, parallel taxiway rehabilitation and extension, aircraft parking apron expansion, navaids and communication systems, new control tower / new airport rescue and fire fighting building, new aircraft maintenance hangar and new cargo building.
In addition, a second package was designed to final contract documents by AAROTEC, including a new civil aviation training center building, employee cafeteria, airfield maintenance building, airfield lighting with emergency generator and power distribution, new airport service roads and upgrade of the water and sewage treatment system.
AAROTEC was then responsible for review and approval of the final design of the first package and for the construction supervision of multiple contractors for both packages. The project was financed through the Asian Development Bank.
