Detail Description of Services:

AAROTEC, in a joint effort with two other firms, was retained by the Government of Bolivia to carry out the restructuring and privatization of the three major airports in the country: Viru Viru, in Santa Cruz, El Alto in La Paz, and Cochabamba through private concessionaires. The objective of the project was to design, develop and implement a privatization strategy for the three main airports including final design of the privatization transaction, develop the process, risk analysis and program implementation.

AAROTEC conducted inventories and future requirements analysis for each of the three airports. The firm also reviewed the privatization financial model and proposed basic tariff structures for projected income and expenditures applicable to the private sector. The team prepared international bid documents for the privatization of management of the airport services during a period of 25 years. The concession will include operation, maintenance development and commercial exploitation of runway and taxiways, passenger and cargo terminal buildings, commercial areas, and access infrastructure such as access roads and vehicle parking.
